One of my favorite things was to sit by a fire and listen to my grandfather's grandfather clock chime. Once I spied a mouse inside, he skidded down the face, jumped, clutched the pendulum, slid to the base, nudged the glass door, hopped to the floor, and scampered away. Writing Prompt Write a story of 50 words. not including the title. Any subject accepted. Must be exactly 50 words.
