To Mickey, with love.

Tidewater flowers moan and stretch,
as if the days of future etch.
The distance has become quite thin ~
fingers connected to the wind.
Hangers they serve for fairy clothes,
yet from the highway, no one knows.
While visible are sutures pinned,
fingers connected to the wind.
T'were actions taken long ago
to seed these wondrous gifts we know.
Along the way, the saints have sinned
fingers connected to the wind.

Writing Prompt |
A kyrielle is made of quatrains that rhyme. Each stanza (that is a quatrain) has a line that repeats, so a line from a previous stanza. That line usually (but does not necessarily have to) be the last line in the stanza.
Each line in the poem has eight syllables. There is no limit to the number of stanzas. Usually there are three or more stanzas.
Any type of rhyme scheme can be used. |
