She said she can no longer take the pain. She just wants to 'go to sleep,' she said, 'and have peace and no more pain'. A Villanelle is a nineteen-line poem consisting of a very specific rhyming scheme: aba aba aba aba aba abaa. The first and the third lines in the first stanza are repeated in alternating order throughout the poem and appear together in the last couplet (last two lines). Limited punctuation intentional. 'I can't take this pain no more' is a double negative. However, this is how my friend speaks.
