HOW COULD YOU NOT LOVE HER?

Sweet Sister Lilith the Pure
 


It was a reach for her to turn the key.
Ah, she, my golden, curly-topped fair sibling.
A gift they said that they'd bequeathed to me,
annoyed and cross when I commenced to quibbling.

A clumsy oaf 'twas claimed my lot in life,
all wounds deemed self-inflicted by this jerk.
Her silent midnight visits caused my strife;
her mind froze every muscle for her work.

So sweet by day, an imp with angel's smile.
(While plotting ways to amputate my limbs.)
There's not a soul that she cannot beguile.
(The carving of my heart one of her whims.)

I'm safe within these quaint asylum walls--
except for those dark days dear Lilith calls.
