My purse is always empty
as many things are bought by me.
Everything is tempting
when you're window shopping.
Asked to show the money,
I honestly can't today, nor
any other day of every week.
I make us as poor as vagrants, or
worse cause bankruptcy.
My husband won't be happy at all,
and he is right to be angry.
He'll keep me but where,
because our house might go,
away with the fairies.
Maybe we'll live where they are, but
I don't know their place for living.
Maybe in the woods or on a mushroom
I might be to heavy for them.
I'd rather die than fall.
See you all in Heaven,
doesn't cost a dime.
AMEN

Writing Prompt |
This is a prompt to test your abilities. No more puppy dogs and sunsets.
We know that a real poet can write about anything.
Think of something "not poetic" and write. It can be a stapler or a mailbox, just something specific and something you never thought a poem could be written about.
You can expand upon it but keep the poem focused on the object.
All styles welcomed.
So, are you really a poet?
