I almost fell out of bed when my alarm started its persistent chiming. " Man, I must get a new alarm", I thought to myself. That thing could make a saint cuss. I reached over switched the light on and looked at the clock to see what time it was. If I hurried I could still eat breakfast before meeting my girlfriend for our picnic date today. I no sooner got started on my breakfast of scrambled eggs and bacon; when the phone commenced to ring. It was my best friend, Rob, calling to inform me that he had a really fantastic rock to add to my collection. I had a whole yard full of unusual and unique rocks. Rob knew I was always looking for more rocks to add to my collection. So much for my girlfriend; I couldn't turn down a new rock. Writing Prompt Write a story that is between 100 and 150 words. The trick is you must use the following words: breakfast, light, rock, phone, clock Author Notes Just a quick story off the top of my head. Didn't have much time left.
