My Simple Little Ode To FanStory
I found FanStory on the Internet.
Said what is this stuff? I was still new to it.
Made up a profile, just let it sit,
but, something told me publish a poem on it.
Took one of my finest I had written and more
and away I did go typing like never before.
I've been writing for websites all along.
Even got my own one going so strong.
Called it classiccountrymusicgoldnashville.com I did.
Became real popular too. Nothing was hid.
Wrote all about music they call Classic Country.
Send a newsletter monthly to six thousand and three.
Still this FanStory bug got stuck in my crawl.
Had to post my first poem out there for you all.
Daddy When You Coming Home it is known by.
A lot of you read it. Some of you cried.
Got me something called a Review
and it was an Excellent one too.
I publish my articles most every day.
Guess I just got me a whole lot to say.
I write about far away places I like to go,
health, and cancer, and so much more don't you know.
Had to get me some Member Bucks and you I may even review.
Don't worry about Stars the way I see it is how I tell you.
Being critical can be real tough
but you gotta be honest when enough is enough.
Entered me a contest got one tiny vote.
Broke my heart but I had to take note.
My first Recognized poem just came to be.
Of course, it was all about little ole me.
The Board of Education has sure been applied
to the seat of my learning still I have to try.
At long last I understand.
This site will lead you with a firm hand.
The words you are told in a Review
can make all the difference in what you can do.
Don't be bitter. Don't be blue.
Your fellow writers are here for you.
Take what they say and make it your own.
Be willing to listen and just write on.
My ode to FanStory now comes to an end.

Author Notes
My poem Board of Education just reached Recognized this morning. It was the first one to do so and this Ode is my response to that. As, I said "Listen to the comments you are given in a Review. They can sure make a huge difference in what you can do".
I can not believe the incredible comments I am receiving about my poem Board Of Education.
It was simple for me to write this poem about my Dad who I treasure beyond words to this very day.
It just took me 5 years to be brave enough to post it somewhere.
So glad I posted it here on FanStory.
Can't think of anywhere better to have posted it.
