Caller: I needs to fine out where you're located at. Me: The Department of Corrections, parole/probation office is located at 7825 North Dale Mabry Highway. Caller: How does I get there? Me: Where are you coming from? Caller: From my house! Me: Where do you live? Caller: I lives wiff my momma. Me: Which way will you be coming? Caller: T'ords your office. Me: What is the closest road to your house? Caller: Maple Lane, but it be a dead-end road. Me: Is there a large road or highway close by? Caller: Yes... Martin Luther King. Me: OK. Take Martin Luther King to Dale Mabry, then go North on Dale Mabry. Caller: Do I turn leff or right on Dale Mayberry? Me: Which way will you be going on Martin Luther King? Caller: T'ords your office. Me: Will you be going toward the airport or away from the airport? Caller: Why I gotta go to da a-port? I don't need to go to da a-port. Me: Who is your officer? Caller: I don't know. Me: Is it a male or a female? Caller: Yes. Me: AAAAAGGGGGHHHHH! And I thought teens were nerve wracking!! Recognized Author Notes I relieved the receptionist at the Department of Corrections, Parole/Probation office. This was an actual conversation I had with a caller. Please note: I was not the permanent receptionist for obvious reasons. I would have ended up on parole or probation.
