Sepia toned desert
Void of shining white
rid of emerald green
Soon though
Dawn shines
in amber glow
Imagined warmth
Lazy mornings -
The best thing about brown
is coffee brewing
Fragrant reminder
of fellowship sweet
and a still small voice
rich like honey
Willow branch
taps out a melodic tune
the vine stretches
forth a yawn
the mourning dove
sings our tune
Morning
like winter
whispers hope
if only we listen ....
