I have waited for a chance like this
To share my heartfelt pride
Of why my honey is still my honey
Since the day I became his bride.
I never knew such kindness
Could exist in any man.
I was raised in abuse and poverty
It took me time to understand.
How can any man be so giving
Of himself, his love, his time
And expect nothing in return
He is truly 'one of a kind'.
He's a powerful, gentle giant.
Honest to a fault.
He distributes unconditional love
Too enormous for a vault.
He has no hidden motives
For his gentle attitude
He's as sweet as honey butter
He's really an awesome dude!
I admire him tremendously
The way he keeps his cool
Even deception from an ungrateful boss
Would never shrink him to a fool.
He's a man of many faces
A son, a husband....dad
He works from dawn until sun down
His life is rich and glad.
He helps to mend our fragile dreams
And heal the hurts of daily life.
His sons are proud he is their dad,
I'm honored to be his wife.
He is so very modest
Doesn't want the bright 'lime-light'
Just respect from those he meets
Their words honest and upright.
Like Midler's song, "Wind Beneath My Wings"
He is... 'everything I wish I could be"...
It clearly expresses my gratitude
He's MY hero; he's MY honey.
I hope this tells you briefly
Why this man is my honey
He's been my honey for forty plus years
And I hope he will always be.
