The needle's stuck
On it's not true,
This season's draped in folds of blue.
The shopping list and cookies
Are buried in last year,
Tomorrow's joyful future
Is spilled in every tear.
In reaching for old memories
Of laughter joy and health,
We tip toed through our history
That stretched through years of wealth.
The laughter and the music
That dominates our past,
Shall gift us this sad season
Wrapped in family friends and sass.
