Lazing on my lounger,
Burning the daylight,
My mind slowly drifts
Back to yesterday`s regrets,
Pondering the past
And all that could have been.
Chances came and lingered
Beckoning me, ``Grab hold!``
But procrastination let
The moments slip through
Distracted hands.
Leisurely, I stand
And stroll along the shore,
Whiling away the hours,
Lost in a daydream,
Contemplating the what ifs.
I turn, hesitating, and watch
As the sun`s last rays disappear.
A sad smile tugs at my lips
As I acknowledge another
Day spent reflecting on
Wasted time.
