I woke up, startled. The sun had risen and LIGHT flooded my bedroom. My CLOCK began clanging its alarm, PHONE was playing my tune and someone was pounding on my front door. I'm retired, old and in ill health. All I want is my BREAKFAST. But now I must answer the door and let my dog out. Where are my slippers and where is my dog? I answered the door and found my neighbor standing there. She apologized for disturbing me so early then pointed out at the road in front of my mobile home. My little Pomeranian companion and body guard lay there motionless and bloody. A bloody ROCK lay near him. I turned cold, felt anger so intense I thought I might kill someone. I will carry that anger to my death. Writing Prompt Write a story that is between 100 and 150 words.
