I never was your everything
believing every word you said
You promised to stand by me
in good times and in bad
I thought I was your everything
it started out that way
I wanted so much to be the one
that was in your heart to stay
But I know that kind of love is false
in every way untrue
That kind of love does not exist
at least not for me and you
I never was your everything
it's been hurtful and unkind
To learn of life the hard way
But I'll walk away unblind
