How silly am I?

Silly enough to lose the one and only key for the cabinet where the XBox games live. I know I've put it somewhere safe, I just can't remember exactly where that somewhere safe is... and now, now I'm paying the price.

My eight year old son is carrying on like I tore out his heart and stamped all over it. He's shouting and screaming like a toddler, all because he wants to play Minecraft on the XBox and it's in the cabinet (which I of course locked, before I put the key in the forgotten somewhere safe.)

Bloody Xbox... Whatever possessed me to relent and let the kids have the rotten thing I just don't know. See, another example of my sillyness.

That damn games console causes so many arguments and nine times out of ten, everyone ends up miserable because they've not had as many turns as her or him or her.

I'm also silly enough to have bumped my head with quite some force during my frantic search for the key and am now sporting an egg-shaped lump on my bonce and I feel like my brain is bouncing around in my skull.
(Note to self; do not propel oneself towards the edge of the chimney breast whilst delving one's hand down the edge of the sofa - it hurts. A lot.)

I'm longing to sit down with a nice warm drink of tea to soothe away the stress (and the pain) but there's zero chance of that with the lost-key-crisis rapidly escalating into a full blown disaster...

Where on earth did I put the bloody key? Maybe I'll remember when my head's stopped throbbing. I might just suggest going out for a nice walk to blow the cobwebs away. I think the fresh air will do us all the world of good. Or will that suggestion go down as well as cabbage and simply prove once and for all how silly I truly am?!
