As tender as an autumn rose Becomes her touch upon my skin Compelling as her eyes compose Dear symphonies I hear within Yet fortress walls still guard my heart Each whispered word of promised fair Foretells a love that knows no end Grown deep beneath the flesh we share How easily the wounds should mend Yet fortress walls still guard my heart I find within each welcomed kiss Just cause to let the veil fall Kept fondly in our subtle bliss Lies trust I faintly do recall Yet fortress walls still guard my heart Made clear are dreams that love will last Neath nurtured care not known before Once memories unchain my past Perhaps we'd love forever more Yet fortress walls still guard my heart     ABC Poetry Contest Contest Winner Recognized Author Notes I wrote the song with a music program.
