Driving to work in the rain

Rainy day Monday

While traveling to work today
With flashes of lighting on display.
I do enjoy watching the rain
Just not while driving,It's a pain.
Hands held tight to the steering wheel
It's hard to explain how I feel.
So I whisper a prayer for safe travel
Then all my anxieties begin to unravel.
And as across the bridge I go
Over the water is a rainbow
Like God himself was talking to me
He is in control if I let him be .
So no matter rain or shine
I'm glad God is a friend of mine.
