I searched for so long. I found you. Still left with longing. Recognized Author Notes This poem is about my mother, whom abandoned me in a foster home, when I was three. I found her some thirty years later, but I never realized that the mother I was searching for, had changed over time, and could not fill the void I needed filled for those thirty years.
