I Choose Rainbows

Emotions Lost

I know not the direction of my thoughts
Clouds come in
In sizes and shapes
As mysteries unto themselves
They roar
Gray with tears
Their eyes wretched wide
Howling
And horrifying
The little boy in me
Sadness covers my fertile flowers
And the rain lays tragic
My thoughts of green
Sprinkling instead toxins of disruption
Poisoning optimism
Poisoning reason
And emotions shaped like Rosebuds
Droop towards the ground
Begging for the sunshine
Of eternal youth
