I know not the ways of the rose
It's petals have power

Beyond comprehension
It echoes life
With all it's complexities
It is red
It is yellow
It is purple
It is white
It is beautiful to look at
Yet thorny to touch
It's aroma makes me glow

It grows on a vine
At a pace unto itself
Tears of happiness
Tears of strife
Indifferent to final outcome

It was created by God
For all to observe
It is beautiful
Just like me
