There's a place where tranquility lingers
Within lovely breathtaking views
From a word that was spoken or written
Expressing the thought of soft hues
In the calming cool waves of emotion
Serenity blossoms and grows
As the heartbeat slows down to a flutter
And things problematic cease flow
In the midst of this lovely sensation
You'll drift on a gentle light breeze
As you sway in its gifts of enticements
It lulls tenderly to appease
In the place where tranquility lingers
One's spirit will be truly blessed
Soothing reflections are wonderful charms
One needs from a world that is stressed

Author Notes
While reviewing Judian James poem, "The Meadow" I wrote a line in which I said "this is where tranquility lingers". The thought I wrote became the inspiration for this poem.
