Writer's block, mind's a blank,
Searching for my inspiration
Take a walk, read a book,
Hoping for a revelation
Shake my head, utter sighs,
Yet nothing comes to mind
If muses are a writer's friend,
Why's mine remain unkind
Suddenly the world is mine,
Melting pot of life's emotions
Juices flow, thoughts run free,
My muse now offers true devotion
Poetic words, words of wisdom,
Cheating hearts, bits of fright
Haunting shadows chill the spine,
Creepy crawlers in the night
A simple word or catchy phrase,
A dream, or just imagination
Pen in hand, words start to flow,
Writer smiles, lost in jubilation
