I recognize that you may never know
the depths to which my yearning heart would go
to captivate and win just one embrace
from one I haven't met yet, face to face,
but I am hoping, through this letter, soon
you'll understand the reasons why I swoon
each time your mellow voice comes through the air.
I'm mesmerized! There's nothing to compare
with how you make me feel. My heart goes wild
and dances through the heavens like a child
on tiptoe pirouetting to refrains
my trembling heart can sing, but can't explain.
It's true, I Can't Stop Loving You. It seems
your Burning Love fills all my nightly dreams.
I'm All Shook Up, but That's All Right. I know
Heartbreak Hotel is where I need to go.
If you would Love Me Tender, I would choose
to not step on your lovely Blue Suede Shoes.
"What Now, My Love," is all I long to hear.
I'll be your little Hound Dog, never fear.
Suspicious Minds may think this isn't real,
but I'm explaining how I truly feel.
I don't want Trouble. I just wrote this rhyme
to say I'll love you Till the End of Time.
I'm sure there have been others who have tried
to win your love, all cruelly cast aside,
but I would ask one simple thing of you ~
please, Don't Be Cruel to a heart that's true.
