Excellent contest entry - 149 words A Step from Earth to Heaven by Teri7 100 Word Story writing prompt entry

It all happened so fast. Everyone adored me, but said it wouldn’t last. I loved each member of my family, but that  is in the past. One minute my husband would bring me all kind of jewelry. The next minute he was abusing me with so much hate in his eyes. All my friends, male and female, said I had a heart of beauty.   The one mistake I made was staying home from work that day. I heard the door open and his footsteps coming towards me. He pulled out his gun and shot me 20 times. The next  thing I knew was my spirit being transported to heaven. The officers took him away. The talk at the crime scene was not very nice. There were so many details given to each one. The judge gave the monster the sentence he deserved. Writing Prompt Write a story that is between 100 and 150 words. The trick is you must use the following words: love - hate - heart - beauty - monster - death - family - creature - sentence - crime - scene - mistake.
