The long, dark night ends, as droplets of dew that had bent the flowers down, fall softly to the ground. Then, once again the flowers stand tall, lifting their faces to greet the sun. Author Notes This is one of my oldest pieces and very rough. I never entered it because of this. However, as I look at it now 30 years wiser, I like its pure simplicity. It just is what it is.
