What does a tiny bubble do
When he so wants to fly
But he's afraid he might drift off
Beyond the bright blue sky?
He searched to find an answer when
A soft breeze came his way
And told him of a spider's thread
That might give him leeway
A sticky line like that might be
An answer to his prayer
A featherweight solution that
Would hold his bubble-ware
They saw a spider on the wind
Held tight by a thin thread
Who somersaulted thru the air
Without a bit of dread
The bubble asked him if he might
Attach his bright round shape
So he could soar the way he did
Upon the grand wind-scape
The spider spun another thread
Especially for him
And both took off to brand new heights
To where they'd never been
The lifeline to his brand new friend
Brought both a lot of joy
As they both surfed the atmosphere
As new airborne flyboys
Grand loopty-loops and rainbow slides
Were games they liked to play
The world up there was wonderful
And both yearned they could stay
There is a time when sunlight sets
And all good things must end
The spider had to pull both threads
So these two could descend
Both promised if they met again
They'd once again take flight
Into a world where breezes flow
To surf the air's delights
