Born in Texas, close to the defeat of Mexican General, Santa Anna. I am the great grandson of those who captured the enemy, making Texas what it is today. (A Republic) Moved to Arkansas with my parents during World WAR!! Lived and raised on a Military Arsenal, and having two older brothers in battle against American enemies. Joined the U.S. Army at age 17 spent six years, two in Germany, the other state side. Authored novels earning trips to various states for review and signings. Married high school sweetheart for 57 years; Fathered three boys, three girls. Owner and manager of self-employed business. Retired at age 62, sold business and moved to a lake area. At the age of eighty six , I still find time to write and read the magnificent work I see on this site. Each morning, I give praise and thanks to my creator for blessings. Writing Prompt Write the entire story of your life in no more than 150 words. You can be experimental, creative, funny, serious, provocative, reflective, whatever style you best feel represents your life. You must write about your entire life, not just a moment of it. No poetry (too easy). No fiction (YOUR life), although metaphors are acceptable so long as they are directly interpretable to be about your life. You'll be surprised at what your life looks like in 150 words.
