Guns and war by royowen

Guns and war

As guns and war still celebrate
they gather there at death's dark gate.
How many die to garnish war
in gore and blood they paint death's door.

As vengeance burns in heart's of men,
and Satan laughs in shadow's glen.
Destruction's harvests still repeat,
as deathly drums in rhythm beat.

And war cares not as hatred reeks
its gathered yield in horror reaps.
As down the years of pain and fear,
demand othe wrath of God it's clear.

So how can guns protect the lost,
when death claims much and won't count cost
of children shot while they should play
these dear ones taken 'fore their day.

The people fall while some don't care
they think this freedom pays death's fare.
The world looks on while bodies mount,
and wonder why folk's death don't count.

So what would Jesus know of faith
when He casts out the demon wraith?
When He said put away your sword
lest you're impaled by fate's sharp gourd.

Author Notes
I'm not sure how many die needlessly, particularly children in school grounds as victims of gun freedom, freedom for whom? Jesus knew the heart of man, we claim to, but do we? We have a lot of stabbing here, I hate to think what guns would do.
Perhaps Jesus was not wise?

Jeremiah 17;9
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Matthew 26:52
Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. KJV
