Author Notes An *inner martial art* maximising *Yang*, the feminine principle of softness, to enhance qi (chi), the vital force of life. Tai Chi originated in Tao*ist philosophy, *Tao* meaning *the way of the universe.* I was unable to upload my view of Chinese people practising Tai Chi in a public park. Apologies. I have settled for a figurative representation instead.
