I was running for my life but they were too, and with haste. I hopped a car and slid down a man hole so conveniently unattended. I ran through the darkness of the sewers, my stomping feet smattering water in every direction. I hit a wall and lost consciousness. I awoke in a white room, cleaned up but tied down. In walked who I assumed would be a nurse but no, 'twas a scaley man, smiling and licking his lips.  Writing Prompt Write a complete story in 80 words or less. The theme is 'Surprise.' You may incorporate this theme into the story any way you wish, but it must somehow relate to the topic.
