A fool never learns by royowen

A fool cannot learn

Just take a look at empires past.
their prideful splendour could not last.
They built regimes on grit and pride,
but these two are a jester's ride.

The Lord's great favour only lasts
if built on vision's humble fast.
So many ruins testify,
that pride and weakness multiply.

The greatest empires came and went,
upon the blood and bones are spent.
A nation needs foundations strong,
but cloth will tear when patterned wrong.

For Holy hands grasp power and might,
where faith is strong in godly flight.
A contrite heart and humble stance,
bring righteous hope's resplendent dance.

In placing faith in men's proud deeds
will sow the seeds of weathered weeds.
The sons of Adam fill this land,
we need God's righteousness to stand.

For God will never side with men,
He's on the side of righteous ken.
As Jesus watched what Father did,
then we must do the Spirit's bid.
