Leadoff walk

Catcher signs

Pitcher nods

Runner leads

Pitch released

Batter squares

Bunts on

Wild pitch

Catcher scrambles

Runner advances

Reaches second

"Time out?"

Umpire grants

Moments later

Play resumes

Waiting pitch

Runner dances

Knuckle curve

Since I very rarely, hardly ever do poetry, I wrote this is prose and did not enter the contest...
CONTEST RULES
The poem must tell a story.
The poetic form is a series of Two word couplets.
That is, two words to a line.
Each couplet must be able to stand in its own right, so no splitting a thought phrase or idea across two or more lines.
Rhyming is optional.
