Poor twenty-eight year old Vanilla  was a lab rat her entire life. She was in awe when she saw for the first time blue skies  At Chimp Haven life is now full of surprises each sun- rise   Writing Prompt Write a nonet poem. It's a simple format. A nonet has nine lines. The first line has nine syllables, the second line eight syllables, the third line seven syllables, etc... until line nine that finishes with just one syllable. It can be on any subject and rhyming is optional. Author Notes Vanilla was rescued in June 2023 and sent to Chimp Haven where 300 chimpanzees live peacefully. Most of them are like Vanilla laboratory animals.
