I'm a wayward son come to visit  after many years gone by.  Just to be next to mama  and feel her close enough to touch.   I was a head –strong young twit,  a wayward son was I.  Now, I dance with my mama,  around and around for the world to see.  I was always the apple in mama’s eye.  Everyone became all ears,  everyone was excited to see.  As we danced in the moonlight,  the Auroras crowned mama’s head.  I smiled at the heavens,  for letting me stay a while.  Saints alive!  it will be hard to leave.  Still, I’m that wayward son,  2024 PT5.    Writing Prompt Create a free verse poem.
