I EXAMINED IT
Sticky and moist.
Still fresh and not
firm to the touch. That
would happen soon; give
it a couple hours maybe
to cure. Like saltwater
taffy, perhaps a bit of
twisting can toughen it
up. Could I wait? Would
it be better frozen? Or
dehydrated? Could it be
salted? The indecision.
I was overthinking this
and needed to engage in
the present moment more
fully. If it went well,
this would be the first
time, and not the last.
I needed to just relax.
Examined the checklist.
Color: dark brownish.
It was passable.
I SNIFFED IT
I had learned about
it in many of my books
and now was the moment
to prove my knowledge.
The smell of chocolate
with warm earthy tones
permeated my nostrils,
and a little... je
ne sais quoi
I LICKED IT
Not bad, really,
it was made up of pure
free-range, fair-trade
organic bananas, fully
processed with natural
digestive enzymes. And
my diet is nothing but
bananas. So really, it
was bananas that had
gone through
bananas.
I ATE IT
Filled with a
sudden impulse, an
insatiable urge filled
me with desire for the
chocolate surprise. As
I seized it, its warm,
soft and inviting love
filled me with comfort
and peace. It would be
ok. Entering my mouth,
activating my salivary
glands... OMFG!!!!!!!!
At first, it was thick
and dark like the 100%
baking cocoa used only
in recipes. But once I
swished it around a bit
in my mouth, the subtle
hues of a soft delicate
hefeweizen opened on my
palate like the first
day of spring after
the long winter.
Eating my poo
was a great idea.
