If you ever wanted to take me,

Let it be -

On 'a beautiful Sunday mornin':

The sun is shinin',
Birds are singin',

'N the trees - heavy with leaves;

That's the way -

I wanna go,

That's the way -

I wanna go.

Wanna know, my spirit is ready -

To mingle with the stars - but Lord,

Please don't ever take me,

If my soul - ain't ready to fly.
