New England in the fall

is a delightful time of year.

Sweet apple cider and warm apple pie

soothes our souls as summer bids her good-bye.

Cool air signals winter is near ~

‘tis season for football!

In perfect formation geese will now fly

as garden insects disappear,

burrowing ‘neath the wall.

All critters, great and small,

hoard food as life shifts to low gear ~

soon they will snooze ‘neath snowdrifts ten-feet high!
