Diving deep inside my head
hoping to identify
that which serves to clarify
my complex fractal soul, by
diving deep inside my head.
Enigma defies the search
clutching secrets to its core.
Ego, knowing so much more,
blocks that self-exploring bore,
diving deep inside my head.

Writing Prompt |
I am so sure my writing teacher had better format for the rules but this is it... this is my favorite. I use this form to start my song lyrics with.
1, Lines: 10 lines in total.
2. Repetition: Line one is repeated for lines 5 and 10.
3. Syllable Count: 7 syllables per line.
4. Rhyme Scheme:
Lines 2, 3, and 4 have the same rhyme.
Lines 7, 8, and 9 have the same rhyme.
5. Line 6: No rhyme.
6. Theme: The poem should reflect on a theme or image that resonates throughout the verses, with the repeated word or phrase serving as a focal point or symbolic anchor.
Example:
In the twilight, shadows fall,
whispers linger through the night,
stars above in silver light,
dreams take flight with pure delight,
In the twilight, shadows fall.
Moonbeams weave through quiet space,
softly glimmering on dew,
peace and calm are painted new,
echoes of a tranquil view,
In the twilight, shadows fall. |
