Why do I love the colour blue?
It's such an energising hue.
It dominates the summer sky
as fluffy clouds go scudding by.
It beckons from a tranquil sea
enticing bathers, you and me.
The look of love I draw from you
shines from eyes of cobalt blue.
Our planet blue still floats in space
though threatened by the human race.
Within the rainbow blue will glow
poised between green and indigo.
And when our moods are plunging low
blue's the colour that we show.
You can have your red and green,
upon my throne sits blue, my queen.
