I love to play with words
Write stories and poems
But at times, words won’t come
They’re buried beneath shadows
Somewhere deep in my mind
That’s when I call on my muse
To help re-discover so many words
Faded into my vanishing memory
Susie, my muse, can be a bit fickle
But when I sit and stare, nonplussed
She’s aware I need her inspiration
Susie comes, mull about in my head
Probes my mind’s inner sphere
Conjures up words and visions
From deep memories buried by time
When she speaks, my spirit soars
Fingers begin dancing on the keyboard
Words pour filling my computer screen
Susie has the power of ethereal revelation
When she speaks her whispers stir
Words that paint fantasies and dreams.
