In the South, as a child,
I would talk, for a while,
With my good friend, the man in the moon
We would chat every night
As he shined, big and bright,
'Til we said, “Bye. we’ll talk again soon.”
Do you know what I think?
If one eye, you would wink,
you would see the moon does have a face,
Though for sure, it takes skill,
(and some people have nil)
So look good, for it is there, someplace :)
See, two eyes, then look south
and voila!; there’s the mouth,
saying, “Oh,” (see, I’m not a nut case!)
Or this could be a joke,
Is he blowing out smoke?
It does look like, perhaps, he might be.
And I’m sure you’ve surmised
That he has two black eyes,
and that's part of a face—obviously!
On a good full-moon night
If you’re outside, you might
Take a look, and say, “go-lly, who knew?
The moon does have a face;
PL’s not a nut case,
Well, that must mean I'm not a nut, too!

Author Notes
I am sure you have a good imagination, which helps, so, if you can see the mouth is an O, then surely you can see those 2 black smudges - eyes, above. :)
He really does look hike he's blowing smoke, don't you think?
I have seen better moon faces, but couldn't find one.
Thanks for reading!
