Sleep at Eventide

sleep at eventide
your sailboat is leaving shore
carrying wishing stars
awake at sunup
your sailboat arrived at shore
carrying the bright sun

Author Notes
5/7/5 poems are similar to haiku but are not the same. The 5/7/5 poem's only rule is the syllables and lines count. Haiku is more insightful, challenging, and beautiful. I wrote this 5/7/5 for a change.
