Art is a journey the artist takes, no matter where its road may lead. All great artists have their inspiration, an object of beauty that in one sudden moment will transform a coward into a true artist, willing to take a dare, no matter the cost. The moment I saw Sophia, I knew I had reached my destination. That first day, I tore into her. Drew her from every angle, inside and out. My most vivid techniques, everything I ever learned as an artist, all poured out into my insatiable urge to portray her. She agreed to come that next night, asking a price. Murder.. I couldn’t help myself. I agreed and lustily painted all night long. Then I told her I couldn’t do it. “Oh, well,” she said casually, “One final breath is as good as another…” The last thing I saw were those precious arms. And the knife.
