Excellent monkey freedom thoughts and feelings in poetry : A stroll through the zoo by s.m.kirby Rhyming Poem contest entry

While strolling through the zoo in the city. Admiring the animals, and flowers so pretty. somehow a monkey managed to break out. Sending viewers of all ages just running about. That monkey was after a child running around. So, I had to side tackle it down to the ground. It may have bitten me and put up a good fight. But I knew that that little boy would be alright. When the zookeepers came and gave him a shot. A free pass to the zoo for a year is what I got. Now that I know how things there are done. Going to the zoo doesn't sound like much fun. After learning how that monkey made his escape. A temporary fix in the net with some duct tape. A large tree in the monkey pen had overgrown. Causing a tear in the net covering his home. Recognized
