There once was a Karen so forthright
who offered her new friends this insight~
you read one of mine,
I'll read one of yours;
you follow this rule, we'll be all right!
Miss Threadgill was not to be coddled,
been reading ever since she's toddled;
been writing since eight
with lots on her plate~
don't we wish her pep could be bottled?
She misses the company she ran
(she's smarter than the average man!).
With illness she deals;
the strong pain she feels,
without meds, does the best that she can!
But God works in mysterious ways
for now writing fills most of her days;
Miss K's a talent,
her prowess valid~
very often, her offering pays!
Her sisters said, "Girl, get serious!
"Time for a moving experience.
"We want you closer,
"no saying, no, sir!"
Now their happy's quite delirious.
Dear Karen, your birthday's approaching
and your fans (without too much coaching)
will all celebrate
this auspicious date
by raising our glasses in toasting!
So these poems we hope you enjoy
as our talents we try to employ
to say glad you're here,
and give you three cheers
with many more years to come~Oh Boy!
