The man in black hurried along the footpath. Was he aware of the police approaching the house a little behind him? They knocked, waited, checked the back yard. No response. Was this the same man, just minutes later, knocking on the door of the old lady’s home around the corner? Was he seeking shelter till the police car left? Everyone wears black these days. Who knows?
