Scorching   Fierce heat will rise   Extracting so deeply   The life it was meant to sustain.   Barren. Author Notes We have no air conditioning in our house and we just had several days in the mid nineties! I have to keep a close eye on my flowers, because they dry out so fast! (The heat inspired this poem.) I am melting as I write this! Haha!
