I cannot find it in my heart  to write a wonderful free verse.  So... let’s see what dribbles out.  Part of my heart is MIA.  The songs and stars are silent skies,  which leaves a shadow of what I am.  Love is there, but not always with me.  I wish to write the melody  of a dove cooing a love song,  its mate captivated by its sweetness.  Yet, all I feel is the wind  whistling through the trees  like my forsaken computer  sitting on that old vanity desk.  It has no lure to lavish, no light to light.  These words are written without  that loving feeling, without will of heart.  Just words on paper transferred to the computer,  without the love I wished to impart.  Author Notes A poet writes from the heart even when it does not beat to the music.
