Excellent The rain doesn’t always mean we have to stay inside! The Rainy Day by Stephiyor Poem For A Child contest entry

I wish the rain would go away  So I could run, and hop, and play. I don't like to sit inside the house,  where there's nowhere to kick, or jump, or shout.  So I ask my mommy, if she will take me out, with my tall rain boots to splash about.  I can't believe it, she tells me yes!  We can jump in the puddles,  and make a big mess! Im glad the rain is here today,  Now me and mommy found a new way to play.
