Look not at things that are seen but things that are unseen.
The Face in the MIrror

I look in the mirror
And what do I see
A face that's not the same...
Looking back at me
Where once youth had danced
Time has taken its toll
Now I see the lines...
A face that has grown old
Am I looking at me
Now or in the past
Father time will not wait...
And youth will not last
But my time is now
The mirror can't explain
I'm renewed each day...
Upward my thoughts I train
I'm just a trave'lr here
My home is on high
On earth I may grow weak...
But there I can fly
Things that are unseen
Are what I look for here
When I reach my home...
My mirror will be clear

Author Notes
"...Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to things that are seen but to things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. - 2 Corinthians 4:16-18.
